As global warming continues it will have significant impacts on animals, plants, and water systems. Some impacts will be positive. Most are likely to be quite negative. As a result of global warming, certain species of animals have already started to disappear. For example, there are fewer harlequin frogs and golden toads in Costa Rica due to climate change. As global warming melts polar ice, species that depend on the ice, such as polar bears, are having a harder time feeding themselves.
