Climate Change Solutions

Next

Climate change is a big and difficult problem. People around the world are having a hard time agreeing what to do about it. Scientists, government officials, business owners, and many ordinary people are concerned about global warming. We have started working together to solve this problem, but we still have a long way to go. For example, scientists believe that the best way to slow climate change is to use less fossil fuels so we reduce our carbon dioxide emissions.

As world population levels increase and countries such as China increase their standard of living, everyone will use more and more fossil fuels like coal and gasoline.  Buying fewer goods, driving less, and using few appliances, like computers, are all excellent ways to reduce fossil fuel usage.  Unfortunately, many of us have gotten used to having cheap energy and consumer goods. It is hard for us to change.
